Asher (URGENT)

Meet Asher! This adorable boy has been growing up in a shelter and would love nothing more than a forever home to ring in the holiday season! Asher is believed to be around 4–4.5 months old and currently weighs 30-35 lbs. We’re not sure how big he’ll get, but we expect he’ll be at least 45-50 lbs, possibly more. While we can’t confirm his breed without a DNA test, he has the look of a Boston Terrier x Boxer mix. PLEASE NOTE: If you’re specifically looking for these breeds, Asher may not be a match since we cannot confirm his exact breed mix. Asher’s journey began as a stray, and since September, he’s been in the shelter. Despite the challenges of shelter life, Asher has retained his curiosity and joyful puppy energy. His personality is still developing, and he hasn’t yet had the chance to fully explore who he is. With the right love and guidance, Asher is bound to blossom into an incredible companion. Like any pup, Asher is eager to learn and is full of playful energy. He’s looking for a committed owner to guide him through the basics—obedience, socialization, and potty training. While he may be a bit shy at first due to his limited exposure to the outside world, with patience and love, his confidence will grow, and his true personality will shine. Asher gets along well with other dogs and would do well with a canine companion to play with and learn from. Although he hasn’t been tested with cats, his young age suggests he could adapt well with proper introductions. His experience with children has been limited, so a home with kids who understand the playful, sometimes nippy nature of puppies would be ideal. Slow, supervised introductions will help him settle in comfortably. Asher would thrive in a home that’s ready for the joys and challenges of raising a young dog. He’ll need regular potty breaks, short walks, and lots of playtime to keep him happy and healthy. Ideally, a home with a yard—preferably fenced—would be perfect for him, but we’re open to apartments or condos on a case-by-case basis, as long as he has ample outdoor time and exercise. Shelter Overcrowding Notice: The shelter is currently facing severe overcrowding, putting all dogs at risk of euthanasia. We cannot save any dog without a confirmed adopter, and Asher urgently needs a loving home.
