My Story
My name is Aspen, like the majestic town in Colorado, where the mountains meet the sky. My foster mom says my soft, silky white hair and soulful amber eyes make me a shining star, perfect for advertising that enchanting ski resort town.
I'm a 3-year-old, 47 lb., "classy" girl, spayed, house-trained, and always striving to be my best self. People describe my temperament as calm and gentle, a true gem. I don't beg for food when people are eating; instead, I patiently sit and wait in my space until my food is ready, showcasing my impeccable manners. When it's time to rest, I rock myself to sleep in my bed with chew toys, a serene and peaceful soul. In addition, I get along with my foster mom's husky, but I prefer to keep to myself, a gentle and reserved spirit.
Although I'm considered a low- to median-energy-level dog, remember that I'm still a husky, full of life and passion. I vocalize my concerns; I dislike being confined to my crate when people leave the house; and I'm still learning and growing, embracing new experiences every day.
One of the new things I've enjoyed the most is our daily long walks, where I get to meet new people and dogs, exploring the neighborhood and feeling relieved and being cared for. I’ve met neighbors, adults and children, and I gave everyone gentle kisses. I’m a little reserved to men first, but eventually show them welcome and trust. Moreover, I’m curious to squirrels and cats jumping around when we walk, but always come back quickly when mom signals me, most time without even pulling my leash. Mom said I’ve done a good job with leash walk so far.
I'm a perfect package, ready to unlock my full potential in my forever home. I yearn for a life filled with love, care, and adventure, where I can bond with my owner quickly and deeply. Will you be my guiding light, my pack member, and my forever friend?
Aspen is located in Houston Texas but can be transported to most states.
