Meet Athena! This Belgian Malinois is 1.5 years old and medium sized! She was found as a stray, wandering the streets and searching for a safe place to call home. Despite her rough start, Athena's spirit remained unbroken, and she was eventually taken in by a loving rescue organization. Athena was placed in foster care to help her transition into a forever home. Now, she enjoys long walks or hikes in the park or enrichment activities, where she can explore new scents and meet other dogs! She has a playful side and loves to chase after toys, though she’s equally happy curling up on the couch for a good nap!! Athena’s willingness to learn and improve shows her resilience and determination to become a well-adjusted and sociable companion with other dogs, especially male dogs. She is very sociable and gets along well with ALL people. Her big, expressive eyes seem to speak volumes, often conveying her eagerness to please and her gratitude for being given a second chance!
