Atticus

Atticus is a stunning and social male Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. He was found in California as a stray and was very underweight. He has gained good weight and is happy and healthy now. - 75 pounds and approximately 5 years old - Happy, engaged, people-focused boy. Loves everyone he meets! - Did well with other dogs in the shelter playgroups. We prefer a female dog if there is another dog in your home. He is currently fostered with a family who has no other pets. - Crate trained and readily goes into the crate for a treat. Sleeps in his crate at night and does well with that. - Fenced yard preferred. This boy loves to zoom and can be active. - Settles nicely in the home and naps while his foster mom works from home. - Does pull on leash and will need continued work to encourage him to walk with less pulling. - No leash reactivity noted - Has a prey drive for squirrels and likes to watch for them. He is likely not compatible for an adoptive home with cats. - Cuddles, leans in like Dobermans do and enjoys attention and affection from humans. - Fostered with a 9 year old child and does well Atticus is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
