Meet Atticus (A320353)! This sweet, playful Staffordshire Terrier is about 1 year old and came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past. What we do know is that he’s full of potential and looking for a family who can help him become the best version of himself. Atticus has a fun-loving personality. While he hasn’t met any dogs at the shelter, he does show friendly body language when he sees them from a distance. He’s still learning his manners, so he’ll need someone patient and committed to training. With some guidance and consistency, he’ll make a loyal and loving companion. Atticus was returned to the shelter one week after being adopted because the wife is uncomfortable with dogs, though the husband loved him. While Atticus is a sweet dog, he exhibited some mouthy behavior that, while not aggressive, did cause a small break in the husband's skin. For this reason, we recommend a home without young children and some training to address his puppy-like behavior. Atticus is already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go.
