My Story
Meet Autumn, a sweet & gentle tan Chihuahua/terrier mix puppy who’s ready to find her forever family! She is estimated to have been born in late July. Weighing just 6 lbs, Autumn has come a long way after being abandoned & infested with fleas, but you’d never know it from her loving personality. She’s steadily healing, and her fur is starting to grow back beautifully.
Autumn is a calm and easygoing little girl who loves nothing more than to snuggle. She’s happiest when she’s curled up on your lap or resting near your neck, soaking up all the love she can get. Autumn is already well on her way to being potty trained and is quite good with pee pads. She’s fostered in a home with a toddler and three other dogs, so she’s proven to be adaptable, gentle, and unbothered by the hustle and bustle.
Autumn is microchipped, vaccinated, and will need to be spayed at six months old. She’s looking for a home where someone can be around most of the time to keep her company. **Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.
2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
