DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi, I'm Babe Hawthorne! I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama, and I survived Parvo, which is often deadly to puppies. I am strong and healthy now and ready to find my forever family. Could that be with you? I am an amazing little puppy with a lot of love to give. I'm very sweet and affectionate. I love to play with other dogs too. They're my favorite! At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization. I promise to be there for you when you're sad, and to celebrate with you when you're happy. I'm just looking for someone to share all this love with. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
