My Story
Hi, my name is Babette, I am a 2 year old female, I weigh 45 lbs, and I am an Australian Shephard mixed with Siberian Husky. I thought I should get the boring stuff out of the way first! Now, on to me! I am very shy at first, because I was on the streets with a pack of dogs, but I am making progress! I wouldn’t let anyone near me at first, but now I lay on my back for belly rubs!
Just a little about me; my rescuer found me on the streets of Houston with a bunch of my fur friends running around one night in the freezing weather; I was soaking wet, extremely cold, and hungry! I was so lucky to be the one taken off the street that night! I wanted my friends to come, but they ran so fast that no one could catch them. I was too tired to run anymore, and my tummy was full after eating the can of food that the nice people brought, so I allowed them to catch me and bring me into their nice, warm house.
After being with my super awesome foster for a little while I have learned to not be as timid, I love playing with other pups, I am treat motivated, kennel trained, patient, kind, silly, independent, and very smart on top of all that!
Did I also mention that I am potty trained too?
For a husky I am not very vocal, and unlike some huskies, I am low energy, but can play for a long time, and I am not a hooligan, nor do I use my Houdini skills to try and escape! I am still trying to get used to being on a leash, so you will need to be patient with me, but I know that I will learn to walk on it like Lady very soon. I think I had some type of previous trauma regarding being on a leash, but I have overcome a lot, and I am sure that I can overcome being nervous on the leash as well.
I really am a very good girl, and I am ready for a home that is excited to have me, and to learn new things, and share their best life with me in it. If you would like to grow with me, teach me new things, love me, and take care of me, that would be amazing!
I am residing with my foster parents in Houston, TX;
Transport to your area is included in my adoption fee.
