My Story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Baby Marty (MAR1024BIBMD) Estimated Breed: Retriever / Shepherd mix Approximate Age: DOB 9/9/24 Approximate Weight: 4-5 LBS Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Baby Marty! Marty is part of the M Litter (Marty, Millie, Molly and Mike). These four cuties came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Georgia. The mother weighed 40-pounds, and the father weighed 60-pounds. Marty is now ready to find his forever family. Could that be with you? Marty is your typical sweet and friendly puppy. He does amazing with other dogs. Marty will make a wonderful addition to an active home. At his young age, he is in his prime for training and socialization too. Please remember that young pups require lots of time, love, and patience to become the best doggie citizens they can be. Submit an application today and change this very deserving boy's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
