My Story

Bully lovers beware- this bio may cause feelings of extreme adoration, excitement and decreased objections to adopting a new dog. Continue reading at your own risk! Estimated to be 2 years old, and weighing 43 lbs, Bambi is likely a pocket-sized American Bully mix. She is a rescue, so this is just our best guess. Miss Bambi has the cutest doe eyes, and the biggest smile- its so easy to fall in love! Meet Bambi here: https://youtu.be/c2TK0vjBHVc?feature=shared Bambi is so incredibly people oriented, trusting and sweet with everyone she meets. Shes a total snugglebug, and always happy to meet new people. She loves to kiss and she makes the cutest little piggy grunt noises. Shes too cute! With other dogs, Bambi is all bully. Shes happy to meet, excited to play, vocal and fun. Shes the life of the doggy party, and so friendly with every dog she meets. Bambi is easy on leash, but be warned, she will try to convince you to go meet as many dogs as possible. She knows how to sit, and shes so people-oriented that she checks in with her handler naturally and frequently. Shes a well-behaved girl with so much potential to become your perfect pup. Bambi also has loads of personality. Shes really expressive, and makes lots of faces, so its easy to tell what shes thinking. Shes a funny and opinionated girl. Whether shes joking around with you, or proclaiming her disgust for canned cheese, shes always going to feel like a true member of the family. Between Bambis love for humanity, and her leash skills, we have a suspicion that shell make an amazing adventure dog! Take this girl to patio cafes, shopping malls and the park- watch her win fans and steal hearts. Bambi is a total toy lover too, she likes to play with a little stuffed Lambchop! Bambi is looking for love and ready to be spoiled! A word to the wise: these bulldog types go fast, so apply today! Bambi could live with other dogs, but shes so people-loving that we know she would adore being your one and only. We think Bambi would like to live in a house with a yard or residential apartment, as opposed to concrete city living. While we havent seen Bambi with kids just yet, we suspect that she would make a great family dog. We are willing to test Bambi with anything you need us to in order to ensure shes the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescues hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesnt stop there! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
