My Story

12/9/24: Bandit arrived in Wisconsin from Texas this last weekend and has fit right in with our crew (two older dogs, two older kids, myself and my husband). Bandit has the look of a puppy, but the smarts of an older dog. He is potty and crate trained. He loves to be snuggled and close to people. If you leave the room, so will he. He sleeps through the night in bed with people & dogs. He likes to give our resident dogs kisses and snuggle on the couch. We have not been out leash walking, but will update when I know more on that. He seems very smart, loves to be my shadow and just soaks in any attention that comes his way. 12/16/24: We are learning that Bandit is selective when it comes to what kind of dogs he likes to be with. Still trying to figure out his rhyme or reason, but he likes some, and not others. Bandit also was marking when he first arrived but has gotten better in the week he has been here. We think this habit could be broken, or would go away in a stable home. We have a fenced in yard which he loves. Being on the streets for two months he's used to having his freedom and wind in fur. He is happy to spend time in the yard, free to roam. Bandit is quick on his feet and can sneak out doors like a boss, so having a fenced yard has been good for him. He does all his business outside and likes to linger by the fence and watch what the chickens next door are up to. **Dog breeds listed are best guesses from veterinary professionals, they are never a guarantee. www.brownpawsrescue.com.
