Meet Barbie, the dog who’s living the dream in her very own fur-tastic Foster Dreamhouse but seeking an amazing fur-ever family! ? This two-year-old beagle/hound mix is more than just pretty in pink—she’s pretty much perfect!
Dog-friendly? Check. Kid-friendly? Double check. She’s got the kind of charm that makes everyone go, "Come on, Barbie, let's go *paw-ty*!" And don’t worry about messes—this girl is as house-trained as they come. Barbie’s all about those cuddle sessions too. Snuggling up on the couch? That’s her version of a Malibu beach day.
With her sweet-as-can-be personality, she’s ready to join you in any adventure, from afternoon fetch games to simply being your nap buddy. Barbie’s waiting to make your world a little more fabulous—adopt her, and life in plastic (or fur) will be fantastic!

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.
2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!

Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
