Barker Doon

Meet Barker Doon, a sweet gentle soul who is about 9 months old. He's had a hard start in life, his family wasn't the best and did abandon him when they moved. He spent almost a week alone with no food or water, waiting for his family to came back. Barker has been in his foster home for a couple months now and has had all of his shots and neuter. He's gained about 10 lbs and is getting a beautiful coat. He's slim at 81 lbs at his last vet appointment, and is gaining good coordination. Barker is a fast learner, walks well on a leash, understands commands like, wait, working on stop, up up (into the car), come, sit, and takes treats with a sit like a gentleman. He is also doing well with potty outside. Barker does have separation anxiety and would do well in a home with people who can be with him and take him along where they go. He's in a foster home with other dogs and his first family had many children and a couple dogs. Barker is not an alpha and will not be a guard dog although he does send up a low woof when strange noises are outside at night. Barker has made some requests, he would like a yard to run in and does enjoy a walk every day.
