PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - BARNABY BREED - Lhasa apso, possibly a mix SIZE - About 16 pounds AGE - uncertain, adult GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Barnaby is a happy, playful little fellow who came in from the shelter with paperwork suggesting he is a senior dog, but Barnaby appears younger to us. He is very playful and loves to run and have you chase him. His teeth are in good shape and his eyes are clear. We believe he is likely somewhere between 5-10 years old. Barnaby would love an active home, but loves cuddles, too. He is very kind to other dogs and loves every person he encounters.. Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet. Barnaby is both quiet, and clean and would fit in well with most families. He came to us from our favorite WV shelter partner. Barnaby is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We would love to find a home for him with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with him. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will be in Barnaby's best interest. He will make a wonderful companion for a senior person who is able to care for her independently. Our adoption process starts with your email to [email protected] or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Barnaby and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Barnaby at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
