Hi, I’m Barry! If you’re looking for a best friend who loves adventure and naps, I might be your guy! I’m a 2.5 year old Border Collie mix and I’m a pro at hikes (as long as they’re not too long), playing in the snow, and splashing around in a kiddie pool. But when I’m not on the move, you’ll find me curled up in my favorite nap spot, keeping an eye on the neighborhood from the window, or snuggling up with my stuffed animals. I take my job as family protector very seriously, which means I’ll let you know if someone sketchy (like the mailman) is outside. But once a guest comes inside, I’m happy to be their new best friend. I absolutely love to play and would love a home with another dog to romp around with! I know lots of tricks, I’m great in my crate, I’m house trained, and I don’t cause trouble when left home alone—though if you leave your shoes out, I might borrow them for fun. I’m not a big fan of fireworks, the vet, and small children running at me. I would do best in a home without young children or cats. At the end of the day, all I want is to be with my favorite humans. I’ll greet you at the door with a toy (and maybe a hug), follow you from room to room, and be the best companion you could ask for.
