Say hello to Barry!
Barry is a gorgeous 60-pound, one year old black lab mix. He is great with all people, other dogs and with kids. Barry is crate trained but if his people are home, he would prefer to be with them and not in his crate. Although, he does fine in the crate at night. Barry has not been around cats.
Barry’s foster says that his is a super sweet, good boy. He loves his people and follows her around like a shadow. Barry is a great cuddler. He will seek attention by placing his head on your lap or climbing up to find a seat next to you. He loves to play outside, run in the yard, play fetch with sticks or balls, wrestle with his puppy foster brothers, and chew on his toys. He shows his excitement by bouncing around and has earned the nickname Bouncy Barry. It is super cute.
Barry is still learning all about this new world of living in a house with a family. He is learning what sounds are normal, and that the dog in the window is just a reflection. He is doing great with potty training and is very happy to have a warm place to sleep after playing in this unusual Louisiana snow that just fell! Barry loves to bark to let you know if someone is at the door, walking by the house or just if he is super excited to see you. Barry is enthusiastic about life!
Barry is going to be an amazing family member. He has so much to offer. He would love an active family who wants to play fetch, go for hikes and make him part of all their adventures!
