BART AND LISA UPDATE!! Look what 3 weeks of TLC does!! These babies are now thriving and are just beautiful! Bart and Lisa were dumped last month and left for dead in rural Mississippi. They had severe scabies mange, secondary bacterial and fungal infections, coccidia, hooks and round worms and rickets! With TLC from their amazing foster mom and good vet care these babies have blossomed. They have now received their first round of vaccines and have been cleared for spay and neuter 8/21/24! We honestly have no idea of their breed! Lab/Catahoula maybe!? They have beautiful gray coloring. we believe they will be medium to large sized adults. They are 10 weeks old and just the sweetest! Get your apps in now on these cuties! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications!
