My Story

Meet Bazooka!! We recently took in this sweet litter and their mom from a local shelter. They are looking for indoor family homes. Their mom (Big Red) will have a separate post once she’s recovered from being a momma. Bazooka is a hound mix puppy and should be medium size when full grown. His mom is about 40 pounds at full weight and dad is unknown. He favors a beagle but may grow larger than that as his mom looks like a medium size hound. He currently weighs approx 7 pounds and is 12 weeks old. He will be given several sets of vaccines, dewormed, a microchip and neutered as part of his adoption. Bazooka is Mr. Fearless. He does everything first he was the first to howl, walk, climbing out of the pen etc. He is the adventurous and outgoing one. Very sweet and ready to have all the fun. He loves other dogs and loves kids. He has not met any cats yet but is young enough to learn. He is still young and learning all his training. He is not completely potty trained or leash trained yet. He has started crate training and does very well HOWEVER he is currently in the crate with his siblings, and it’s very likely that there will be some sleepless nights in your home with crate training once they are separated. He has not had any trouble sharing food treats and toys. *** These are NOT APARTMENT DOGS. Beagles/Hounds are very vocal dogs, it is just what they do. They bark and howl and make all the hound noises. They started howling at only 4 weeks old. We do not want a dog or family losing their home over the noise.*** Bazooka is currently active, happy, and playful. He has been raised inside and handled often since a very young age. He is very friendly and social. He is also smart and active. He loves to explore and play. He is an active puppy and will need lots of physical and mental stimulation to keep him happy and out of trouble. Hounds make amazing family pets. They are generally friendly and social. They do have a tendency to escape yards when bored. It is recommended to not leave them outside alone. They were bred to be hunting dogs and may take off over or under a fence to chase a woodland creature around. Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your family’s lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting. We do NOT adopt siblings into the same family. Before commenting on how sad etc, you feel that is please google “littermate syndrome” so you can understand why we take this precaution. It is done in the best interest of the puppies. Vet and home checks required. **No apartments due to how vocal they are. Located in Hampton VA. (He will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) ??Please message [email protected] or for faster response message our Facebook Page directly with questions or to get an application.??
