About Me
Characteristics
Affectionate, Athletic, Couch, Curious, Friendly, Funny, Gentle, Loyal, Playful, Smart, Loves Kisses, Loves Playing Chase, Loves Playing Fetch
Female catahoula mix around 70 pounds. Does well with people of all ages after she is adjusted…she is shy initially with people, she’s been thru some neglect over the last few years. She does bark with strangers, but quickly warms up and wants to play. She is a very playful dog.
Adopted at 3 months old friendly and happy, returned to the rescue and now almost 4 years old. The family got a new female dog and decided to dump Beatrice back with the rescue since they were not getting along. We aren’t sure what she went thru in the first household, but she’s doing great here. She loves playing in water, playing fetch, playing tug of war. We’ve had her now for 10 months and she’s absolutely amazing with people once she feels safe. She’s fine with male dogs and submissive with larger male dogs, not so great with female dogs which may be because of the previous household, but she can be annoying to some dogs since she likes to play. She occasionally barks when she plays, but that's because she’s super excited to chase after anything you toss.
Potty trained, leash trained. She is kennel trained but can cry or bark if she doesn’t want to be in there at the time. Does great with commands like sit, lay down…overall very wonderful dog and smart. She deserves the chance to be as great of a dog as she can be and she will do great in the right home. She will be a great jogger dog for anyone who wants an activity dog.
I’m looking for a foster for Beatrice or a foster to adopt, so she can continue to adjust to other people and realize life isn’t so bad now. She has attached herself to me within the 10 months we’ve had her back at the rescue. She’s a really loving dog and deserves love from a family of her own.
She's spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, chipped.
