My Story

PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - BELLA BREED -Mixed SIZE - 25 pounds AGE - 2-3 years GENDER - Female MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Bella came to CARE from a southwestern Virginia shelter. She is 2-3 years old and fully grown at 25 pounds. Bella’s loyalty to her human caretakers is unmatched, and meeting new humans is always cause for celebration. She is, however, not a fan of other furry friends. It is important that Bella’s new home provides her with a secured fenced yard for play and containment. She is best suited to families with dog experience, and who can offer her a home as an only pet. Bella’s new family will be blessed to be on the receiving side of her affection and love. She is a sweet, friendly, happy girl who wants a home of her own. Our adoption process starts with your email to [email protected] or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Bella as well as our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with your family and Bella at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
