Bella

Meet Bella! This pretty girl is a 10 month old Poodle/Coonhound mix. After finding herself here at the shelter, she's looking for a permanent forever home! Bella was surrendered to us alongside her brother, Winston (who has his own listing here on our Petfinder!) through no fault of their own. Their previous owner just didn't have time for these two, and made the decision to bring them here so they could find a better fit. Now, Miss Bella is an absolute sweetheart. She's a little shy when you first meet her, but just wants to receive as much love as she can! We're hoping that, as she gets used to us, she'll feel the confidence to start blossoming again. Bella has grown up around other dogs and did great with them. Her previous owner let us know that she can be a bit rambunctious when she plays, and might accidentally hurt something small or old. Bella has not, however, been around cats or kids. While she's been perfectly sweet here, she's still adjusting to her new surroundings, and probably won't appreciate if kids are getting in her face or grabbing her. We always recommend a meet and greet with pets or kids in the home prior to adoption, so you can be sure this dog is the right one for you. Bella has lived in an outdoor kennel most of her life, so she hasn't been trained on how to act in a house. She is a very smart girl, though, so if her owner did want her to be an indoor pet, they'll just need a little bit of patience to get her there! Bella, being part poodle, is also a dog that will need to be groomed regularly. When she first came to us she was looking a bit rough, but after a bath and some trimming she was good as new!
