His name is Bemidji and he’s adorable!! Bemidji is 16 lbs and ready to venture into a home. Yes, he’s on the shy side, and was a scared boy when he first arrived, but he’s now a good walker on a leash, plays with toys and is gentle and sweet. Never having lived in a home your job is to go step by step introducing him to his new world. This will include letting him decompress as he watches and gets a feel for his new surroundings. Providing a mentor dog in the home would be a huge benefit to give him confidence. Setting a schedule to ensure things make sense to him and he knows what to expect. Introducing new people/places/things in a positive way with treats at the ready. With gentle encouragement Bemidji will loosen up and show you his true silly, loving and endearing self! It’s what rescue is all about. Do it for Bemidji but also for yourself!! Each week the blossoming will happen and a flower in bloom is where it’s at. So apply for Bemidji and be a puppy gardener! ADOPTION FEE: $750 To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION. Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six.
