Meet Benji, a soft, scruffy sweetheart who’s just starting to discover his place in the world. This sensitive, shy little guy gets along wonderfully with other dogs, the resident cat, and the small children in his foster home.
Benji is beginning to come out of his shell, stepping forward for pets and love. However, if he feels overwhelmed, he may need a little space to feel safe again. He’s doing great with potty training and is quiet and content in his kennel once he’s inside—though he does need some gentle encouragement to get in.
Benji is still learning the basics, like walking on a leash and building confidence, but he’s eager to grow with the right person by his side. He’s looking for a patient, loving adopter to guide him into his next chapter and help him blossom into the amazing companion he’s meant to be. Could Benji be your perfect match?
Benji is a 2-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $500 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Benji is also tested with other dogs, children, cats, kennel trained, and housebroken. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
