Benson is a handsome, good-sized boy, less than a year old, and what you might call an old soul. Definitely easy to fall in love with.
He’s a mixed breed stray who arrived just a week ago. Currently in
boarding, we’d love to find a great home where he can be either fostered or fostered with intent to adopt.
Here are some details you might want to know: He weighs 92 pounds. House trained. Not crate trained, but so mellow that we expect he’d be okay. Good with other dogs. Can play gently or can roughhouse. If you have a fenced-in yard, we think he’d love it. No experience with cats. Would be great with kids, but because of his size, they should be at least 6-8 years old. Not big on toys, but loves things to chew. Good on leash. Knows sit.
Benson had some form of dermatitis when he arrived. You can see a little bit of it in his photo. It’s been treated, however, and is healing.
This sweet boy is as mellow as can be and “one of the most laidback dogs” his Texas foster has cared for in eight years as a foster. Loves affection and will lay his head in your lap for attention.
