My Story

Beso, whose name means “kiss” in Spanish, is a truly lovable little guy. Always ready to sneak in a kiss, he’s about a year and a half old and a perfect 50 pounds of wiggly happiness. Beso was found with a bag of food tied to a pole in front of a small animal shelter. It was crowded with few adoptions; space was needed and his “time was up.” With the help of a rescue partner, we scooped up this pup with his whole life ahead of him in the nick of time. Beso is settling in with his foster family and getting up to speed on some basics. House training is coming along, as are four-on-the-floor greetings for this little people lover. On leash walks he’s curious about all the sights and smells. He gets an A+ for “Recess 101” and woofed, “I’m ready to learn new things!” Other dogs give him two paws up as a playful pal; don’t know about cats. He’s an active youngster who loves bacon flavored treats and is a firm believer that there’s is no such thing as too much lovin.’ Our volunteer who met him when he arrived remarked: “Beso is a sweetheart. Definitely a keeper! Great size and beautiful teeth. He’s very friendly, gives lots of kisses and wags his tail. Beso is not afraid to go up to people to get petted and is very willing to go with new people.” Beso will thrive in an active home that has the time to give him the daily exercise a youngster needs, provide positive oriented training and, of course, lots of love. When we asked Beso, who is always ready with a kiss or two, about his New Year’s Resolution, he wagged: “To be the best friend ever!”
