*****Belgian Malinois Adoption requirements***** The dog you have selected is a Belgian Malinois. This is a breed that has very specific needs for an adoptive home. Because of their need for a high level of exercise, both mentally and physically and their need for ongoing training, only applicants with demonstrated owner/handler experience with this breed will be considered. The vast majority of them are not best suited as family pets, but in homes with experienced handlers knowledgeable of their needs and breed characteristics. We will not place in homes with small children or small dogs/cats. Meet Billy! Billy is a stunning male Belgian Malinois with a gentle and friendly nature. Recognizable by the white fur on his chest, Billy stands out not just for his looks but also for his sweet and endearing personality. He’s the more reserved of the two brothers, but with the right environment and a patient hand, Billy is sure to blossom into an incredible companion. Like most Malinois, Billy will thrive in a home that understands the unique needs of this intelligent and energetic breed. He requires plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. Ongoing training will also help Billy reach his full potential. Although Billy doesn’t need to be adopted alongside his brother Bobby, he would benefit from having another confident dog in his new home to help him build his self-assurance. His gentle nature makes him eager to learn and bond with his human, but we recommend an experienced adopter who understands the specific characteristics of this breed.
