Billy

Meet Billy! This stunning black Lab is about 3 years old and is a great dog! He loves kids and gets along with most other dogs (although sometimes he has to warm up to other males a bit first). Cats are an unknown. Billy enjoys playing fetch, swimming and does well on leash and in the house! He loves being outside as well. Because of his breed, he has definitely showed interest in chickens and turkeys, however, he listens pretty well when supervised and reprimanded around them. Billy has shown some food aggression towards other dogs, so he will need fed separately from other dogs, even if crated while fed - to reduce his stress. This is a normal occurrence with many strays, but careful monitoring and training can make a substantial difference! Billy is eager to please and wants to be with his humans, whether lounging in the house or playing with his foster children outdoors. He is a working breed, so plenty of exercise, a safe enclosure and mental stimulation is key to Billy being his best doggie-self.
