Bird

What an absolute sweetie! Bird is a family man who's in touch with his sensitive side! He does great with new people and kids alike. He would be happy to join a family who already has pets but ideally would be the center of attention. Bird came to us very timid at first and has really come into his own with an uplifting personality! Full of puppy energy but quick to calm and cuddle. He has great recall, stays close to his humans and does great in the car. He is house broken, and kennel trained. Offer him a treat to go to his apartment and he runs right into his kennel. He may cry for a few minutes when you first leave but settles in quickly. Bird and his foster have been working on training and he's very quick to learn. He's good on a leash, doesn't pull and knows his basic commands. He's still a dog so squirrels will steal his attention. Sit, come, stay and apartment (kennel) are his best and will always respond to treats. His favorite reward is just your attention and curling up with his humans on the couch. He is very mouthy when showing love but don't be afraid he's not looking to bite. He likes to give face kisses and hold your hand with his mouth. He has destroyed a few soft toys but only when his siblings instigated tug-o-war battles! Furniture blankets and pillows are safe from everything but dog hair lol. He's good with sharing toys and food alike but can be intrusive on other pet's space. If you are looking for a co-Pilot in life or friendly addition to the family Bird could be the dog for you!
