Blizzard

Meet Blizzard, a brave and resilient boy with an incredible story of survival and recovery. Blizzard was found by animal control after being shot in the arm. When we saw him on the shelter's page, we knew we had to help him! We took Blizzard to an orthopedic specialist in North Alabama, who confirmed they could repair his shattered humerus. Using an external fixation device, the vet skillfully pieced his arm back together. Blizzard showed remarkable strength and determination throughout his recovery and now has no hardware left in his arm. While he will need physical therapy and possibly hydrotherapy in the future after the internal rod is potentially removed, Blizzard's spirit remains unbroken. Despite all he has been through, Blizzard is the sweetest boy ever and a joy to engage with. His affectionate nature and friendly personality make him a wonderful companion.
