My Story

This dog is currently in a foster home as part of our Foster Care Program! If you are interested in giving Bloo a forever home, please call 775-856-2000 to learn more about the dog and schedule a visit. Living in a foster home is less stressful for dogs than in a shelter, providing them with time, attention, and care. This helps make adoptions successful by revealing their true selves at home. Potential adopters can determine if they and the dog are a good match by hearing about the dog from the foster parents. Bloo is a charming boy thriving in his foster home. In just a few short days, Bloo seamlessly became part of his foster family, showcasing many endearing qualities. Having overcome initial timidity and fear at the shelter, Bloo's transformation is remarkable. He adapted effortlessly, coexisting with a cat and excelling in obedience, crate love, and a passion for walks. Nights are peaceful in his crate, and medication time is a joy with cheese or hot dogs. Bloo is now a relaxed, happy family member, eagerly responding to "walk" and "want to go?". He is happiest participating in outdoor activities with his family. Hiking seems to be his favorite activity by far, he even attempted to get in freezing cold water for a swim! Bloo will continue hanging with his foster family, who will keep loving and nurturing his zest for life until his forever family chooses him!
