My Story

Bones is currently with a foster in Seattle! Meet Bones, a charming and adventurous pup who found his way into a kind-hearted man's home in Puerto Vallarta while the man was preparing to go to work. He couldn't leave Bones behind to wonder the streets. Instead, he protected him and took him to a vet. We spotted the man's post on Facebook asking for help, and we couldn't say no! Bones came to our shelter, where he received the rest, proper nutrition, and love he deserves. He enjoys being around the other dogs and is a joyful and happy boy. He is potty trained and doing better with the leash every day. You may not find a nicer boy than Bones. See more at: adogsnewlife.org/bones Adoption process: Our rescue is located near Bucerias Mexico. We use Petfinder to reach a greater audience for our dogs and adopt the majority of our dogs to the US and Canada. The first step is to submit an application on our website here: https://www.adogsnewlife.org/adopt Once we receive your application, we will review it and may contact you for more information or to conduct a home check. If your application is approved, before requesting adoption fees or the signing of the adoption contract we give adopters a few days to a week to spend time with their new pup. If for some reason things were not to work out, we kindly ask that the adopters foster the dog until we find a suitable home for them. A few notes about our pups: - Most of our shelter dogs are accustomed to being outside and free-roaming unless otherwise stated. Some may have been in homes before and could be potty trained but in a new environment they would need easy access to the outside and be re-acclimated to their designated potty area. *We cannot guarantee a pup is potty trained unless they are with a foster or surrendered to us with noted training.* - We can send more videos/pictures of our dogs. Unfortunately, we cannot do live videos at our shelter. - Our dogs are given de-wormer, tested negative for heartworm (unless otherwise noted), are up to date on required vaccines for travel, and receive regular flea and tick treatment. They have also been evaluated by our vet who has provided any necessary medical care upon rescue. --Last, but not least ,we LOVE our dogs and we hope you do too. They have hearts of gold and so much love to give. Please be kind and patient with them; they are worth it! It takes time to adjust to new people and new places. We are on IG and FB. Please consider adopting as we have over 140 dogs and the shelter is full.
