Boo and Hardy were dumped in agricultural land in the central Valley of California at the age of about 7 weeks. No shelters would take them in - local shelters were all over-capacity already. The finders were told to just leave the pups in the fields.
These curiousity-filled brothers are now 10 weeks old and growing fast. They have been vaccinated and dewormed and are ready to go to new families.
We have sent in a DNA sample so we can make sure what breed we are talking about here, but the speckles and pointed ears might indicate some Australian cattle dog in their background. We will soon know for sure! Either way, the expectation is they will be on the larger side of medium when full grown.
Both pups have been exposed to other dogs, cats, pigs, goats, chickens and horses (at a safe distance) and take everything they meet in stride. Boo is the braver of the two and is interested in everything new. Both are excellent with the small child in their foster family.
The pups are used to being confined at night. They have not been leash-walked and are working on house training. Both ride well in the car.
Boo and Hardy are in foster care in the Salem area. Their adoption fee is $250. and proof of neuter will need to be provided by the adopters by August 2025. Let's give these 2 boys the good life they deserve.
