My Story

**Fostered in Mill Creek, WA and ready for meet and greets!** If you are a dog lover you know- a friendly, happy dog, who loves the water, other dogs, and can be respectful around a cat can feel like the dog everyone else has, and the one you want! Well, it might be your turn to have that dog! This is Boots, available for adoption, loves the water, friendly and playful with other dogs, loves a booty scratch, and was respectful of out house cat! The term-move-in ready is used for houses but in this case he is the one that is move-in-ready. To your house that is! He is ready! Take a look at him in action then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/KXcu_IOVMaM Boots is super confident and outgoing, he has not met a stranger. He loves to greet new people with a wagging tail. Hes joyful and loves to play with toys and hell throw a toy up in the air to keep himself busy. Boots can match the energy of whats going on around him. If given the opportunity to play, he can really get into it. Check out his rodeo moves here: https://youtube.com/shorts/gsIwiQ7erR8?si=cNCk_8Me3Lg3U49t If you are needing to work on the computer, he will lay down in the room with you like a good boy. He is not constantly in your face needing attention. I worked on my computer for about two hours and he laid on the ground next to me. Ive had my six-year-old boy with us and Boots has enjoyed interacting with him. He loves it when my son pets him. He absolutely loves to play tug-of-war with a toy! It seems to be his happy place if youll give him a minute of that game. Whenever you make eye contact with him, his tail wags, he just absolutely loves people so deeply. Hes really quiet in his crate overnight with no accidents. He does not bark from what weve seen, he seems completely crate and potty trained. He does get fun zoomy energy, but its not constant. He has a pretty well-balanced energy level. The cats come to the glass door and taunt him through the glass door, but he doesnt bark or freak out. Weighing in at 55 lbs he is a lot of fun and the perfect get-up and go guy! Estimated to be 1 year old, he is eager to learn and has a great base of to work from. He has a great sense of dog manners, how to play nicely, and loves a light-hearted game of chase! Boots is young and will need help polishing up his leash skills, the day we met him he was excited and a bit bouncy on leash but has enough of a basic understanding that he could easily join you on a walk right now without any trouble. When we introduced Boots to a handful of dogs he had never met, he was calm for introductions and perfectly playful when he was invited to play chase. Watching him jump into the pool to cool off was what sealed his hold on my heart. He was so content and self-assured it was a joy to watch! Boots is also friendly without being pushy, he wants to say hello but will wait patiently for you to meet his eyes and invite him over. Not one time, even when treats were being offered (which he loves) he did not jump or get overly excited. He is such a well-behaved boy it is easy to forget that he is a middle-ager, freshly out of his puppy days. Boots is what we lovingly call a daycare dog because he is easy-going and his playful approach with other dogs means he can go to doggy-daycare for a fun day out and then come home for a big ol nap! He doesnt need that level of play everyday though, he is mellow inside and happy to hang out or play with a toy on his own. An ideal home would include occasional adventures, hike or day-trips to the lake or beach, and walks around the neighborhood. He would really thrive in a home with a fenced in yard. A playful friend would be awesome and a pool of any size, even a kiddie pool to splash around in, would be a bonus! If you have any questions about Boots or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email [email protected] with any questions.
