My Story

Boston 1.5 years 50 lbs Boston is a smart and goofy pup who is eager to please! He’s crate trained, housebroken, knows basic commands, and walks well on a leash. This handsome boy loves carrying toys in his mouth and enjoys spending time with his foster pup sister. He has the perfect balance of cuddly and independent—happy to snuggle but also content keeping himself busy. Boston plays well with other dogs and is always ready to show off his skills. He willingly goes into his crate on his own and knows commands such as sit, paw, down, come, and stay. He’s currently working on mastering “leave it” and “drop it.” As a food-motivated pup, Boston is eager to learn and really aims to please his humans. He also responds well to his name and can be left alone in his crate while his humans are at work or running errands without any issues. Boston can feel nervous in the presence of children, so he’d do best in a home with older kids (10+) or no kids at all. While he can be a little mouthy when he’s excited—typical for a pup his age—he’s improving every day with training. Boston can also be shy when meeting new people and hasn’t enjoyed attending adoption events, but it’s important to note that his anxiety isn’t extreme. When left home alone, he settles in his crate comfortably without any panic or distress. His insecurities mostly surface in public settings, and even then, he’s not always in a heightened or reactive state. A calm and patient home without frequent visitors would be ideal to help him feel safe and comfortable. Boston has made incredible progress during his time with his foster family, and they are so proud of how far he’s come. He’s ready to continue blossoming in a loving forever home that will embrace his quirks and give him the support he needs to thrive. His future family will surely fall in love with his goofy charm and loving nature! Interested in adopting? Submit an adoption application on our website rescuedrascalsil.org!
