The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application. Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home We have 2 males and 2 females, purebred, released from a puppy mill as puppy sales are low. What we are looking for in a new home: -family that is capable of coming home at lunch to where the dog is not crated for 6 plus hours at a time as you work on potty training -children experienced around dogs -ready for teething phase and have time to train -financially stable to complete contractual medical including altering. Adopter responsible for: 1. adoption fee is $550 2. to neuter/spay at the age of 6 months (MABTR will follow up with vet for confirmation) 4. heartworm test at the age of 1 yr About the puppies available for adoption: Dewey (standing on lawn chair) DOB 5/30/24: Dewey is the sweetest boy! If you are looking for a shadow, look no further! He loves his foster humans and follows them all day. He loves to wrestle with his foster dog siblings, but loves to snuggle up on the couch even more. He is working on confidence, so a playmate and/or a family who is home often to show him the ropes would be best. We love our cuddle bug! Darla may be small but she is mighty... if there's something she can't do, she tries and tries until she masters it. We adore her and her goofy personality! Watching the other dog is helping me learn what I am supposed to do, so I would really love to have another dog in my new home that can handle my playful. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
