He is definitely alert and caring. He will bark and growl at dogs and people at the distance, once you introduce them to him and he sniffs he will calm down. He can be very protective of family members especially kids, but he is good with strangers outside of house like dog parks. Bruno had surgery in his right leg because he was hit by a car, his leg is fully recovered.
