My Story

Buddy was adopted from our rescue as a young puppy and then sadly returned due to no fault of his own. The children in this particular home were not doing well with treating Buddy respectfully. The family ultimately decided it was best to return him. Despite having so many applications as a puppy, he's been back with us for months with no serious interest. Buddy is about 9 months old now. He’s currently about 28 pounds and probably won’t get bigger than around 35lbs. He did have a DNA test done that revealed he is mostly cattle dog mixed with Mountain Cur and Rat Terrier. He has a moderate to high energy level and would thrive with an active home. He loves other dogs and is very smart. He’s crate, potty, and leash trained. He loves snuggles with his fur siblings and foster fam. Buddy is a little bit shy with new people/places and with loud sounds, but he has successfully attended events, gone to restaurants, etc. He thrives with a confident family and another dog to follow the lead of. He is NOT an apartment dog, therefore he needs a home/townhome, ideally something with a fenced yard. We also think Buddy needs another dog in the home to play with and help learn from. Buddy is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and prevention, and microchipped. We’re going to make sure this next home is his forever one! If interested in adopting Buddy, please apply on our website: BridgeBetweenAnimalRescue.org ? (Buddy is located in Charleston SC).
