My Story

Meet Buddy! Buddy is a 4 month old "mini" bernedoodle puppy. He is 17lbs already, so we expect that he will be a medium-medium/large adult dog. He has a beautiful doodle coat that will require regular grooming every 8 weeks. He was surrendered to Zoe's House from a commercial breeder after he did not sell. Buddy is a happy, playful boy with all the fun puppy energy! He loves toys, playing fetch, running around with his foster sister, and above all else, snuggling with his humans. He is definitely a high energy dog and would benefit from a home where there's lots going on to keep him entertained. He takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, animals, and situations but so far has done well with other dogs and kids. Buddy is making great progress with crate training and potty training. He does whine in the crate during the day when left alone, so potential adopters will need to make sure they're able to keep working on that with him. Some regression is normal in new environments, and especially possible given his age. Buddy also has a Grade 1 luxating patella, which will not impact his day to day life but puts him at greater risk of arthritis as he ages. Buddy is neutered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Any potential adopter will need to be willing to travel to Philadelphia where Buddy is being fostered for a meet. All human and animal members of the household will need to be at the meet.
