-Buddy in Maine - bonded with Zach

Buddy is an 8 year old chihuahua who will look at you very suspiciously, and bark at you for, oh, say, 12 seconds until you put your hand near him. Then he will impatiently point out all the areas that he can't reach and really neeeeeds you to scratch. If you are not getting to all of those places quickly enough, he will take your finger into his mouth with his little toofers to make it clear he's not yet satisfied. Zach is a goofy 12 year old poodle who probably won't bother taking your finger into his mouth, because he has no toofers. Just a tongue. He would, however, love to warm your lap for hours on end. We asked their shelter to test these guys with dogs & cats & got this report: Zach was sooo happy to see the tester dog! If they go to a home with another dog, it needs to be patient one because he has no boundaries....he was putting his mouth in her mouth. Buddy had to be encouraged to go over to the tester dog & pay attention to her, but when he did, he started licking her eyeball. So they get intimate very quickly..... Same with cats. They introduced them to a kitten & Zach was over the moon, OMG HI!!!!! and Buddy started licking the kitty's face. So.... we think they'd be fine with dogs & cats who are tolerant, haha! These two have been completely vetted & Zach has been groomed. Buddy clearly needs to be on a diet. Zach has a heart murmur & arrythmia but doesn't need meds. They are pee pad trained, but will pee & poo if taken outside. Buddy likes walks, Zach likes to be carried, & would really like a home where someone is home a lot. Both of them love people, though Buddy doesn't admit it immediately. Not for the first minute or so. Old Dogs New Digs is helping to network Zach & Buddy for their shelter.
