Cairo is an 8-year-old lab mix who tips the scales at a chonky 125 pounds. Despite his size, this sweet boy is all about gentle affection. In 2020, he was found as a stray and taken to animal control. During his stay, a kind-hearted, disabled elderly gentleman saw something special in Cairo and adopted him. Their bond was extraordinary; his person would take the bus, spending hours to ensure Cairo received his heartworm treatments. They were inseparable until tragedy struck, and Cairo's beloved person passed away, leaving him heartbroken and back in animal control. Now safe in foster care, Cairo is ready for the next chapter of his life. He’s great with dogs, cats, and people, making him a perfect addition to any family. His sweet nature shines through despite the challenges he’s faced. Cairo may need a bit of extra care, but he’ll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and love.
