Candy Apple A171932 63 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old -Beautiful girl! -Walks great on leash. Slow and steady. -Timid and will sometimes duck with quick movements near her head -Friendly and gives kisses -She's more content to do her own thing right now -Allows pets but isn't seeking them out quite yet -I saw brief moments of playfulness with some play bows and tail wags -Once she was more comfortable she started taking treats. She's picky though and only eats certain ones. Takes them ever so gently. -Lower energy right now -Will need time and patience to trust and feel comfortable -Not interested in toys just yet -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids *Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt *Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. *Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. *There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. *To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home.
