My Story

Caprice is a sweet lovable pup. How can you resist that face and floppy ears that tell you she is ready to have a forever home. She is a terrier mix with a short black and white coat. She is around 11 months old and currently weighs about 37 pounds. When fully grown she is expected to be within the medium range (25-50 pounds). Terrier mixes are known to be smart, loving, and confident. They can be active and like to run around to burn off energy. Add to that the traits of playfulness and good-naturedness and you have an appealing mix. She enjoys the company of other dogs during play time and would be a great addition to a family with a canine resident. Caprice does well with children but has not had the opportunity to be introduced to a cat. Puppies have lots of potential, and since she is smart and friendly, she can grow to be a wonderful companion in the right home. Caprice will do will with an average active family since she is a medium energy girl. She is in the process of learning her house, crate and leash training, Using the right guidance with consistency and patience, will help her with the skills she needs to master. Cheerful praise and lots of treats will go a long way in helping her master those skills. It will take time and energy but the result will be worth it. Before she can begin to spend time in a crate, she will need to have an established bathroom routine (always after eating, playing, sleeping, and before bedtime). She will also need plenty of exercise and lots of attention. She will then be ready to be introduced to her new crate which must be a cozy, warm, and positive place. In the beginning she will explore it and use it for short periods of time. Eventually, the time can be increased based on her comfortableness with this second home. She may be able to handle up to 4 hours over time. Daily short walks (under thirty minutes) will be a good opportunity to work on leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to her with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along her walk. Please note: She may not be a running companion until at least age one when her growth plate closes. Are you willing to commit to the time and energy needed to raise this puppy so that she can reach her full potential? If yes, read on.The adoption fee for Caprice is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
