My Story

Carter is a 5 month old, 26 lb male Retriever mix. Carter is currently located in South Texas and will be transported. Hi there, I'm Carter, and I'm one happy little guy. Someone dumped me and my sisters at the beach one day... it was pretty scary out there, but we were rescued by a nice family and now we are happily hanging out in a foster home. We are young and learning new things every day. Most of the time we play with our toys and each other, running around and burning off that puppy energy! My sisters and I sleep in a big crate (we are very good in the crate) and then we go out on the patio and backyard where we get to have fun. I spend most of the day outside so I would need a little time to get used to being indoors, but I'm a sweet guy who just needs a few chewy toys to play with and I'm golden. I'm very good in my crate and I only complain a little bit when I go for a ride, then I settle down nicely. I'm good with other dogs, outside of my pesky sisters, and I'm also good with kids. I'm a bit on the quiet side, but I'm still a friendly little guy. This boy just wants to have fun! I dream of being able to explore the world, so I would love to go for a hike or on some long walks and explore to my hearts content! Then it would be great to return home, get some dinner and settle down for a nice nap. Are you looking for a nap buddy? Because I'm very open to assuming that position! If you're looking for a best friend, hope you will consider this little guy for that job, I'd love to meet you! Our organization only adopts within the United States. Faith and Hope is a multi-state rescue with locations in Texas, Washington, Oregon, Maryland, and Connecticut. All dogs and cats are rescued from the state of Texas to be transported to Washington, Oregon, Connecticut and Maryland with placement in their adoptive family’s homes.
