My Story

Catalina is not just any dog; she is a testament to resilience and hope. This sweet girl has spent years in an ugly breeding situation, confined to a kennel without ever experiencing the joy of grass beneath her paws or the warmth of a loving home. Today, Catalina is in a loving foster environment, and her transformation is nothing short of inspiring. In her foster home, Catalina is discovering the world anew. She is learning to socialize with other dogs and even with cats! The gentle and loving environment is helping her come out of her shell. Each day, she experiences the love and warmth that every dog craves, and she is thriving. Catalina is still learning not to jump and housetraining. For this reason, we would recommend a household with no small children. 12/17/2024 weight 13 lbs PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not breed or DNA test.*** Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tested (6 months of age and older) microchipped and has current flea/tick/heartworm prevention. You can visit our website at www.forpetssakerescue.org for our full adoption process and adoption application. We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.
