My Story

Meet Chad! Chad came to CCHS as a transfer from another shelter that became wildly overpopulated. Chad is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix who weighs 50.2#. He has a pleasant outlook on life and is always curious when visitors stop by to see him. He's still rather young so would benefit from an active lifestyle going for walks or hikes. Chad would prefer there not be any cats in his new home. With any rescue dog, training and socialization is incredibly important to the success of the dog. Apply for Chad today! Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $150. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.
