Chance

Chance was abandoned suffering from a horrific abscess on his ear- a severe ear infection caused a hematoma which was painful and draining thick green pus. Despite his discomfort he's a friendly sweet social boy who craves attention and wants to kiss everyone he meets. He knows some commands and is a "young" active senior about 7-8 years old who clearly had a rough life but still loves people. He went right to our vet for his wound to be drained and flushed and is currently recovering with a drain in his ear and his wounds healed up nicely. His ear has a lot of tissue and a narrow canal from long term ear infections and will need regular monitoring, cleaning and treatments if infections flare in the future. Otherwise he's in great health, a vibrant strong guy who loves meeting new people. He seems to be best as an only pet from what we have seen and doesn't like other dogs in his space.
