My Story
Once in a lifetime dogs don't come around all the time...our sweet Charlotte comes all the way from Jordan to meet her forever family. Charlotte is an affectionate and playful dog who wants nothing more than to hang out with her people, gaze lovingly into their eyes, play with her toys, and give and take loads of love. Oh, and belly rubs, lots of them please.
Charlotte waited too long to find happiness, but has no regrets or looking back.
She shows her foster family tons of affection, and her foster dad tells us that she is the absolute velcro dog you always wanted. Charlotte is also absolutely stunning and ohhh so cuddly - he fur is soft as a bunny and you can lie with her for hours on your lap - yes, she may not realize she's not the typical lap dog size.
Charlotte is a super smart girl - she has quickly been learning commands with her foster family and has a solid repertoire of vocabulary already - (sit, stay, look, place, etc) - she is treat motivated and loves to please her people, so you and Charlotte will enjoy continued training.
Charlotte walks well on a leash in quiet areas, and will love to continue her exercise routine and upping her walk times - time in the kennel prior to her rescue loaded her up with a few extra pounds, but nothing that an active family and Charlotte can't solve together.
Charlotte can be reactive with other dogs while on walks so we are looking for a family with dog experience that lives in a more remote/quiet area where Charlotte can continue to bloom, and not be distracted by dogs walking by her. Charlotte is currently with a foster in an urban area and will thrive being outside the city.
Charlotte has been introduced to a whole slew of new people/visitors in her very social foster home, and does great meeting new people. She truly wants to love and impress and play. She has met and hung out with young children, teenagers and adults, and seems to love most people she meets.
Charlotte is a true love bug. While she has been great when left alone for periods of time (with full roam of the house and no destructive behaviors), she would love and thrive most with a family that works from home, and is up for an active and playful lifestyle, mixed in with a whole lot of couch time.
Charlotte's forever family will be vested in taking the time, and having patience, to train her even further, and to help build her confidence/trust in life outside a kennel, that can sometimes be scary! This wonderful and beautiful girl has waited so long and now just deserves her best life - she is up for it, and she will give it to you right back.
Charlotte is such an incredibly photogenic and simply adorable and gorgeous girl, it is a shame that Petfinder only allows us to post 6 photos - it has been hard choosing the final 6!
Charlotte is 4 years old, spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations.
