My Story

LOCATION: Austin, TX DOB: 11/25/2024 Meet Cher, the beautiful black Great Dane mix puppy with the sweetest personality and a heart full of love! Cher is full of puppy energy, and while she’s playful and curious, she’s also a sensitive soul. Loud noises or harsh words can startle her, so she thrives in a gentle, calm environment where she’s handled with care. She loves to nibble and shower her humans with kisses, especially when she wakes up from her cozy naps. Cher’s energy is typical of a young puppy, but she’s also learning to appreciate her downtime. She follows a happy schedule—1.5 hours of play, eat, and potty time, followed by a long 3-hour nap. After that, she’s ready to have fun again! Cher is very affectionate, but it’s important to approach her gently, especially when picking her up, as she can get a little scared by big hands reaching for her. She’s got some favorite things in life, including ropey toys, light chew bones like collagen treats, and playing fetch with her humans. She also enjoys having another dog around to keep her company and teach her the ropes. Cher’s ideal home would have space for her to run and play, and a patient family who can continue her training. She’s already learned basic commands like "sit" and "down" but is still working on reinforcing them. Puppy classes would be a great fit to help her build on these skills. Cher’s potty training is progressing nicely. She’s almost there, and she’s great about going outside when given the chance. She’s still learning to ask to go outside, but she’s already proficient with puppy pee pads. Because she’s still growing, she’s best kept in a safe space like a playpen when left alone so she doesn’t chew on anything she shouldn’t, like shoes or wires. Cher does best in a home where she’s not left alone for too long in a crate, and she would love to have a dog companion to keep her company. She gets along well with cats too, but she’d prefer they don’t hiss at her—she just wants to be friends! She’s great with kids as long as they understand that she’s still a sharp puppy with little teeth, and she has a slight preference for men in the most adorable way. Cher’s perfect home would have easy access to a backyard for potty breaks, a loving family, and plenty of opportunities to run, play, and learn. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle puppy who will love you endlessly, Cher is ready to be your new best friend! ========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .
