My Story

Cherry is a sweet two-year-old lab mix from Arkansas who was born in the shelter. Because she was born in the shelter, she is quickly learning that manners are a thing. She absolutely LOVES the resident cat, kids, and dog. She also loves the rotation of dogs her foster mom babysits. Everything for Cherry right now is a first. First snow. First house. First stairs. First human affection. Along with those firsts is potty training. She potties on a schedule but has not figured out how to cue yet. Her foster mom is learning her signs but she is very food-motivated so she will be very easy to train! Because Cherry has never been with an owner, she has never been on a walk. She is extremely scared if a car drives by or if she hears a loud noise. Car rides are iffy at first but once you are on the road, she quickly calms down and goes along for the ride. She is the sweetest girl and craves affection from anyone she meets! She is not a vocal gal and loves to play with the resident pug as she is now figuring out how to be a dog for yet another first! She loves to chew on everything since she is new to homes so redirection has been working great! If you're looking for an easily trainable gal good with dogs, cats, and kids, this is your pup! And you could be her first furever! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00
