She is a litter of seven who began life with a rough start. At 4 weeks old their mama was killed by a bear. Probably trying to protect the puppies that were living under an abandoned house. Animal control was called to fetch the puppies out from under. They were brought to the shelter and thankfully a loving Foster family was found. Once Chestnut and her litter mates were old enough they were brought to New Jersey by our rescue. Chestnut is going to be a large dog when fully grown. Lots of exercise and a fenced-in yard would be ideal. Chestnut and her littermates are hoping to be in a home of their own in time for the holidays!
